Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Avanthi Pharmaceutical Sciences, Avanthi Degree College and Avanthi Diploma College held their Annual Day Celebrations 2k23 amidst much fanfare and pageantry at its Cherukupally Campus, Bhogapuram, Vizianagaram (Dt.) on 29th March 2023. Speaking on the occasion, The Chief Guest of the function, Dr. Ratnam Varada Rajakumar, former Director, IIT Bhubaneswar, advised the students to concentrate on their core branches of engineering as they are more rewarding in the long run. The students should think beyond statements like IT is ubiquitous and focus on their four year study which will give them the problem-solving skills in their domain,he said. The world is short of good engineering designs and engineers who can produce new knowledge and research , he lamented. Prof. K.Venkatasubbaiah, Vice-Chancellor, JNTUG- Vizianagaram, another Chief Guest, suggested that students should attain 160 credits in their academics. Students should learn continuously and update their knowledge to stay ahead in their career, he advised. Speaking on the occasion, Sri M. Srinivasa Rao, MLA Bheemili, and Chairman of The Avanthi Group of Institutions, said that Vizag is fast developing into an IT hub, under CM Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's leadership. He lauded the efforts of the Chief Minister in promoting education in the state through massive budgetary outlays. He asked the students to do something to their motherland following in the foot-steps of Prof. R.V. Rajakumar. Sri Sreedhar Kosaraju, Founder&CEO, Nimaisoft System Pvt.Ltd., President , Information Technolgy, Association of Andhra Pradesh, told the students that the IT sector in Andhra Pradesh offers well-paid jobs and is fuelling reverse migration. He asked the students to develop their Deep Tech knowledge as IT enables horizontal integration across domains. The guest of honour, Rear Admiral Srinivasa Ratnam, Indian Navy urged that students should be professional and cultivate personal attributes like sacrifice,valour,focus and do some good to the society. Dr. A. Chandrasekhar, Director, AIET, read out the annual report highlighting the many achievements of the institute and its students. The institute partners with PEGA International University, USA for academic programmes. All the students who successfully completed their courses through Pega Academic Programme last year were placed with high salary packages across companies. He also informed that the institutes offer a range of value added courses like Full stack, Devops and AWS to upskill its students. This year we have provided placement assistance to 75 percent of our students in various prestigious companies, he added. The students and faculty of various courses like Engineering, Pharma and Degree colleges have published various papers in national and international journals. Faculty members also filed many patents, he added. Avanthi Group of Institutions President M. Gnaneswari, Managing director Sri. I.Shravan Kumar, General Secretary Dr. M.Priyanka and Vice President Sri M.V.V.S.Nandish conveyed their best wishes and blessings to the students. Best Teacher Award for faculty members, certificates and mementoes were presented to the winners of various sports and cultural competitions by the guests. The students grooved to popular tunes and brought the house down during the cultural programme on the occasion. The famous play back singers Mr. M. Hanuman of the Venkimama – Coca Cola fame and Ms. V. Akhila, The Voice of Vizag winner& Indian Idol (top 15) Aha TV, regaled the audience with their grand musical performance. Diploma college principal Mr. Arjuna Rao, Principals of various colleges, Heads of various departments, faculty members and students actively participated in the celebrations.
