The inaugural function of "Two Day National Level Technical Fest GYAN 2K23 on 6th and 7th January" was organised by Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Cherukupally, Vizianagaram on 6th January. The Mega Fest was graced by distinguished guests from different walks of life. The Honourable Governor of Mizoram, His Excellency Sri Kambhampati Haribabu garu was the Chief Guest of the event. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest exhorted the students to adopt the salient features of the 'New Education Policy' and equip themselves with multiple skills to survive in a competitive world. Solve the problems of people by initiating Start-ups and becoming entrepreneurs to take the Honourable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi's vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' forward is his advice to the students. Dr. GVR Prasada Raju,the Guest of Honour urged the students to take up specialised orientation towards technology development to excel in their careers. He exhorted the students to aim for academic excellence through various learning platforms like seminars, conferences, technical fests, etc. Prof. N. Sydulu , NIT, Warangal, Special Guest advised the students to take up new topics of study and research to do well in their academics. The students should always plan ahead for their careers by participating in internships and other learning platforms, he said. The Chairman of The Avanthi Group of Colleges and MLA, Bheemili, asked the students to shed the casteist mind-set and adopt a talent based approach to success in life. He asked the students to learn discipline and punctuality from Sri K. Haribabu garu's life. Dr. T. Ramakrishnudu, of NIT Warangal, asked the students to take up real world problems and deal with real stake- holders. Dr. A. Chandrasekhar, Director of the college, said that Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology strives for the holistic development of the student. The centres of excellence and various events are organised to extend the learning from the confines of the classroom,he said. Sri I. Shravan Kumar, MD, Avanthi Group of Colleges, and Principals and staff of various Avanthi Group of colleges and other colleges were also present on the occasion. Key note speakers Dr. M.Ravi Sankar and Dr. NVL Narasihma Murthy from IIT Tirupati, Dr.Rajasekhar from Andra University ignited the students through their expert talks and motivational guidance. Students of the college and various other colleges participated enthusiastically in the fest and presented PPT s, Posters and project expos on several engineering topics , technological tools and products.
