The APSSDC and Avanthi Group of Colleges in organising Job Mela for uplifting all sections of society through various employment opportunities.
The Two day festivities of Job Mela on 28th and 29th December 2023 by Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation and Avanthi Group of Colleges was flagged off at the Indoor auditorium of Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Cherukupally, Tagarapuvalsa, Vizianagaram on 28th December 2023 at 10.a.m. The inaugural session was graced by dignitaries from various walks of life. The chief guest Sri Y.V. Subba Reddy, former TTD Chairman appreciated the efforts of the APSSDC and Avanthi Group of Colleges in organising Job Mela for uplifting all sections of society through various employment opportunities. The Chairman of Avanthi Group of Colleges Shri M. Srinivasa Rao speaking on the occasion informed that the Job Mela is a cause driven initiative for societal development through employment and economic empowerment. He stated that YSRCP Government has provided 6 lakh employment opportunities to the unemployed within four and half years of its tenure committed to public service. He also exhorted that the Job mela is committed to diversity and inclusiveness with employers actively seeking candidates from diverse background. Mr. Kolaguruvulu, Disrict YSRCP President applauded the management of Avanthi Group of Colleges for organising this Mega Job meet which directly connects job aspirants with respective companies. The Guest of Honour Sri M. Srinivas, Zonal Development Commissioner, IRSME, Visakhapatnam highlighted the need of such events to solve the problem of unemployment . He also motivated the students to improve their knowledge and skills to meet the changing demands of the companies in the fast changing competitive world. The Special Guest, Mr. K Sai Krishna Chaitanya Reddy, District Officer APSSDC, Visakhapatnam exhorted the students about the Government’s prime objective in providing employment opportunities to the deserving candidates on one platform. He also said that this Job mela contributes significantly to local community development and the program is well planned for two days where one can get job by meeting the prospects of the employer. He motivated the students to make good use of the opportunity. The Dean cum Training and Placement Officer of Avanthi Group of institutions , Dr. K. Srinivas Rao listed the various companies that are participating in the Job Mela and boosted the confidence levels of the job aspirants with his motivational words. Mr. Bhaskar Reddy, RDO Bheemunipatnam lauded t he efforts of the APSSDC and Avanthi Group of Colleges and expressed that such initiatives will help in empowering the youth. The director Dr. Chandra Sekhar of Avanthi Group of colleges, Principal of the host college Dr. B. Murali Krishna , principals of Avanthi Group of colleges, Mr. M. Rupu Sundar Rao, Training and Placement officer, Human Resource Managers from various companies were present for the inauguration ceremony. The event witnessed a substantial turnover with a diverse group of job seekers from various backgrounds and skill sets. More than 1800 students registered and 36 companies participated on the very first day of the two day job fair. The job mela saw Corporate personnel from leading companies providing a comprehensive overview of career opportunities available to them. The event also provided a platform for the students to interact with the diverse array of companies seeking to recruit fresh talent.
