Tagarapuvalasa Avanthi Engineering College — October 13, 2025 (Monday)

Under the leadership of Avanthi Institutions Chairman, Mr. Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, the grand celebrations of “20 Years of Excellence and Freshers’ Day – 2K25” were held magnificently at Avanthi Engineering College, Tagarapuvalasa, marking two decades of excellence in engineering and technology education.

The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam District, IPS Shankabrata Bagchi, Professor K.V.G.D. Balaji, Director of RGUKT–IIIT Srikakulam, Dr. B. Venkata Ramana, Scientist–D, SAMEER–CE3, Visakhapatnam, Dr. Sameer, Group Manager of Infosys, Visakhapatnam, Mr. Konchada Kishore, and Brahma Kumaris Seva Peeth Sister Madhuri, who graced the event as chief guests.

Junior and senior students showcased a wide range of cultural programs, including captivating western dances and other vibrant performances that left the audience spellbound.

Dr. Muttamsetti Priyanka’s Message

Dr. Muttamsetti Priyanka said that Freshers’ Day is celebrated to welcome new students into a friendly environment, build their confidence, encourage creativity, and strengthen the bond between juniors and seniors—helping them feel united as one college family. She advised students to stay away from bad habits, drugs, and antisocial activities that can ruin their future. She urged them to maintain discipline, focus on studies, and rise to great heights.

Chairman’s Address

Chairman Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said that Avanthi Educational Institution, established in 2005, is a JNTU–GV permanently affiliated and AICTE-approved institution in Vizianagaram, also recognized as an MSME Host Institution. He highlighted that Avanthi provides world-class infrastructure, industry-oriented training, and a positive learning environment to produce skilled, competent engineers who have secured prominent positions in India and abroad.

The institution also provides internship opportunities with reputed companies such as Vizag Steel Plant, APTRIET, Efftronics, Brandix, NTPC, Dr. Reddy’s, HSL, and BHEL, thereby enhancing job prospects for students.

He concluded that Avanthi is not just a college, but a family—creating a home-like atmosphere where juniors and seniors study together harmoniously with discipline and unity.

Commissioner of Police Shankabrata Bagchi was felicitated with a bouquet of flowers by the Avanthi management.

Later, students who excelled in academics and sports were honored with certificates and mementos presented by the management.
