About Department
The Department of Management Studies was started in the year 2006 with the state of the art infrastructure as per the norms and beyond. The Department offers four specializations namely Finance, Human Resource, Marketing and Business Analytics under affiliation to JNTUGV-Vizianagaram and approved by AICTE.
The Department of Management Studies is a distinguished academic unit dedicated to providing high-quality education and research opportunities in the field of Management education. The department aims to nurture business leaders who can thrive in the dynamic and competitive business environment
The Department is determined with great ideas of developing value based empowerment, corporate managers and building young entrepreneurs. Several modern pedagogical methods and techniques are used to motivate the students. Apart from regular class work and also we are conducting seminars, presentations, quiz competitions, case studies, soft skills, group discussions, mock interviews, training and development programs, brain storming sessions etc.

Industrial Visits:
Visited on April 30thVisakha Container Terminal (VCT). It operates the container terminal in Visakhapatnam. Located in centre of India's East Coast and closest to the Malacca Straits, VCT is an ideal gateway for container traffic from states of AP, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh & West Bengal.
VCT is blessed with a natural depth of 16 m alongside (deepest in the country) and state of art container handling infrastructure. Present terminal capacity is 0.55 million TEUs and this will be extended to more than 1.5 million TEUs by 2021. The terminal is well equipped with modern infrastructure including Post Panamax STS cranes, latest NAVIS SPARCS N 4 software, more than 366 reefer plug points, adequate power backs up, 2 full length rail sidings and fully computerized environment. The organization has Navis N4 as the Terminal Operating System (TOS) and has moved a step further integrating with SAP.
VCT is gradually evolving as a regional transhipment hub in the Bay of Bengal with containers from Kolkata, Haldia, Paradip, Kakinada, Chittagong and Yangon getting transhipped here.It has well established rail and road connectivity to the hinterland thereby providing smooth access for cargo movement to local hinterland and ICDs at NCR, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Raipur. VCT is accredited with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001: 2007, ISO 28000:2007, ISO / IEC 27001:2013 and has been conferred AEO status by Customs.
