About Department
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 2005. The department has been continuously producing graduates who are excelling in industries, entrepreneurship, and higher studies. The department has been implementing Outcome Based Education (OBE) with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) for the holistic development of the students, which is an essential model for any institute that aspires to be a leader in the field of education. The department takes pride in its well-qualified and trained faculty members and advanced laboratories for imparting hands-on skills to future technocrats.

Salient Features:
The department has various MOUs to cater to various student needs and provide students with various options to acquire hands-on experience in various booming technologies like Engineering Design, CNC Programming, Non-Destructive Testing, 3D printing, computational Fluid dynamics, etc. Students of the department have been actively participating in paper presentations,live projects, and modelcompetitionsat various institutions. The students are encouraged to have direct interaction with the industries through Industrial Visits and internships[HPCL, Steel plant, HSL, and many more].The department also encourages students through various professional body memberships like the Institute of Engineers (IE) and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). Eminent Professors from AU, JNTU, NITR, NITW, IITM visit the campus from time to time to deliver guest lectures. The department has an MOU with Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and has set up a Dassault system lab by APSSDC [Department of Skill Development&Training, Govt.of AP]. The faculty are adept and up to date with the changing technologies through various Faculty Development Programs and research programs.

" I am very pleasure to sharing with you all about my college life experience. I did my graduation in B-Tech as a mechanical engineer in our own college. The college has the entire needy infrastructure. College provides all the facilities like Wi-Fi, Laboratories, Library and even the canteen food is of good quality. The college have excellent experienced faculty along with Ph. D holders. The way of teaching helped me to understand concepts in better way. The placements are pretty good. The placement cell is very supportive in bringing companies to the college. College keeps you updated about all internships and job openings. they conducted Software trainings in CRT sessions which helps to gain knowledge on IT solutions for Non Technical students as well. The college atmosphere is very pleasant. The college conducts tech fest, cultural fest every year. We celebrate festivals and other events in the campus. Many events are conducted at regular intervals related to sports, cultural, technical etc. Finally, I am very happy to be completed my graduation in AVANTHI Educational Institutions. "
