Activities

AIET believes in creating and disseminating the knowledge & skill in core areas through innovative educational programs and developing a new cadre of global professionals. We at AIET, provides better academic ambience and learning environment for its students and faculty. In order to enrich the knowledge of the students, faculty various activities have been organized through activity council and some of them are

Academic Activities

All the Value Added Courses, FDP,SDP, Quality Improvement Programme; industrial visits will be organized every year in the college.

Development Programmes

AIET’s most valuable possession is in its faculty. They are trained in various skills in the college like subject, Teaching methodology, skills to shape the students to become industry ready. The students will undergo various development programmes in the campus under the esteemed guidance of faculty.

Co- Curricular Activities

The college provides the much needed scope in the personality development process of the students. Students are provided in an activity centre for their recreation and light reading facilities. Various activities like guest lectures, Seminars, Conferences, Workshops are being organized every year to benefit out the students along with the curriculum..

Seminars & Extension Lectures

It is general practice to conduct various seminars and extension lectures on various topics related to engineering & technology, personality development, management practices etc as a part of curriculum and a council has been constituted in the college campus. The seminar council ensures that frequent seminars and talks are organized for students and staff on various technical and academic issues by eminent personalities both from academics and industry. For students, an interaction with luminaries from the corporate/professional world is of paramount importance, scientists, professors and practitioners from prestigious institutions are invited to deliver lectures in the college.

Annual Day

National Level Symposium

Technical symposiums of national level are organized every year to inculcate a probing sense and broaden the nascent research & innovative skills of student in the fields of Engineering & Technology, management etc. Eminent professors from Different Universities/Industries, Enterprenours, renowned scientists are invited to interact with the students.

At Avanthi, Sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged, to promote a balanced lifestyle and to build team spirit, managerial skills , enable students to find outlets to beat stress in the highly competitive environment that they have to face in the world today. These activities are taken care by the activity centre which encourages, guides the students to participate in sports, paper presentations, project contests, NSS, NCC various other programmes.Every year Fresher’s party/ farewell & Annual day celebrations are regularly organized to dig their hidden talents. Students participate in many activities and make the occassions more vibrant with their stunning performances.

Sports & games are exciting and essential components for overall development and their physical activities are expected to promote feelings of unity, oneness, integration, team spirit and sportsmanship. The students are encouraged to participate in inter collegiate and inter-university tournaments.

The college has a well developed volley ball courts & table tennis. In addition to the facilities already provided during the previous years for encouraging sports among the students, it is planned to have a separate building for housing the facilities for indoor games including gymnasium. It is also planned to have a cricket pitch with net practice, basket ball court , cement/wooden tennis court etc.,

Technical Association

Every Department has its own technical association which conducts, seminars, guest lectures, project and cultural activities, extra, co-curricular activities. This is managed by the students and is aimed to provide a platform for them to enrich their managerial and organizational skills.Avanthi is associated with the following student branches.

Extra Currirular

Achivers Day - 2022:

Avanthi Group of Institutions organized Achiever's day on 18-9-2022 to honour the students placed in various organisations nationally and internationally through campus selections in the year 202l-2022. This occasion is graced by eminent guests from various fields - Prof. Hema Chandra Reddy, Chairman, APSCHE, Sri Srinivas Reddy Veeram Reddy, Tech. Mahindra South India Recruitment Manager & Vijayawada location leader, Sri R. L. Narayana, Corporate Vice President & Location head, Visakhapatnam, Sri. M. Srinivasa Rao, MLA Bheemili.

Independance Day Celebrations on 15th August, 2022:

Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Cherukupally, Vizianagaram celebrated its 76th Independence day celebrations at its college campus. Prof. Nageswara Rao Gollapalli unfurled the National flag in the presence of Prof. Chandu SubbaRao, Ex-director of Avanthi Group of Institutions, Dr. A. Chandra Sekhar, Director-HR Avanthi Group of Institutions, Principal of Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology Dr. S.N.V. Ganesh,Principal of Avanthi Polytechnic college A.Arjun Rao, Principal of Avanthi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Dr. M.B.V.Raju, Principal of Avanthi Degree College P. Ramakrishna. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Prof. Nageswara Rao Gollapalli emphasized the duty of each and every one in nation's development. The principal of Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology Dr. S.N.V Ganesh in his speech narrated the sacrifices of great leaders for the independence of India and ignited the youth to transform India as a nation of their dreams. The students displayed their patriotic fervor and actively participated in various competitions held on the eve of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Prizes were distributed to the students. All in all, the day witnessed speeches and songs which glorified India as a great land with unity in diversity.

Azad Ka Amrita Mahotsava Program:

Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Research and Academy Ravada and College of Pharmacy organized an Azad Ka Amrita Mahotsava program on the occasion of 75 years of India's independence at the call of Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Avanti students will take out a rally with Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, Vandematram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogans on the beach road about 2 kilometers from Visakhapatnam RK Beach Kali Mata Gudi. On the call of Gouravaniya State Chief Minister Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, former Ministers Mr. Avanti With the encouragement of Mr. Srinivasa Rao, this program was conducted smoothly. On this occasion, every student resolved to do their best for the development of the country. In this rally, Principal Dr.S.N.V. Ganesh, Principal Dr. Govinda Rao expressed his heartfelt thanks to the family members of Avanti. In this program pharmacy principal Dr.M.v.v. Raju Garu, Degree Principal Rama Krishna Garu, Director Dr.A. Chandra Shekhar Garu and Dr. Ragava Rao Garu, Department Heads, Teachers, NSS PROGRAMME OFFICERS S. Sharif garu and coordinators participated.The management of Avanti educational institutes Ms. Gyaneshwari garu, Dr. Priyanka garu, Mr. Shravan Kumar garu, Mr. Siva Nandish garu congratulated for successfully conducting the program.

Swattch Bharath:

NSS

The NSS unit was established in the year 2008, keeping in view that the engineering education basically is involved with the social responsibility towards the benefit of the mankind. The NSS unit has organized various activities like door to door campaign for spreading out the importance of education, plantations, blood donations, AIDS awareness program. The NSS team of Avanthi has adopted the nearby Gunthapally village, Hayath Nagar Mandal, R.R.Dist. and conducted clean and green program successfully including plantations, educating rural children, training rural youth for self-employment and many more. In future the aim of the unit is to make a modern technical village.

Our college encourages the students to exhibit their latent talents and also encourages them to participate in different competitions and the winners will be suitably rewarded by the management. The management is implementing a scheme merit prizes & attendance prizes with aim of motivating the students achieve greater academic Excellency.
