About Department

The CSE department was established with B.Tech Program in 2005 with intake of 60 students and this was increased to 120 students in 2007-2008 and increased to 180 students in 2015. The Post graduate Program M.Tech with C.S.E specialization was started in 2010 with intake of 18 Students and 2nd Shift intake of 18 students. Department mission is to make innovative thinking engineers and to produce skilled software engineers. The department of Computer Science and Engineering has progressed with a strong determination to developing competent programs, uncompromising in standards. The department has full fledged faculty members with experience in industry and teaching, which leads the students to get employment in the market. The department encourages the faculty members and the students to participate paper presentations, seminars, workshops and National and International conferences.
The department encourages the faculty members to undertake research activities. The department is equipped with state-of-art laboratories and the computers have sophisticated development software tools. The department provides training to its students in advanced technologies like JAVA, WEB TECHNOLOGIES,.NET, PHP, Data Warehousing, Data Mining tools and Data storage systems as a supplement to the curriculum to enhance the employability of students. Our senior faculty members are the members of Computer Society of India, ISTE, IEEE.

The Mission of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is to:
M1: Provide quality education in both the theoretical and applications of computer science and apply education to solve real-world problems.
M2 Conduct research to advance the state of the art in computer science and integrate research results and innovations into other scientific disciplines.
M3: Graduates with ability to solve complex problems that address societal needs and develop appropriate computer Programs with latest tools and technologies.
M4: Graduates with ability to pursue advanced education, research, other creative and innovative efforts in computer science & engineering for successful career.

Dr.A.Chandra sekhar has obtained his M.Tech from Andhra University,Subsequently he earned his Doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering in the year 2012 under the supervisionof Prof.Allam Appa Rao(Former Vice Chancellor of JNTU Kakinada ) from Acharaya Nagarjuna University.He has a total of 16 yrs.ofexperience in teaching,academic laedership and research.He has got 10 research papers to his credit and also one of the editor for"Application of computational intelligence to biology "(A Springer Series Book).He served several reputed institutions in the capacities of academic & administrative such as Principal,Director and Head Of The Department .He was Awarded as Best Teacher for the Academic Year 2009-10 from JNTU Kakinada.He has participated in 15 National Conferences,4 International conferences and 5 National Workshops.He organized 3 Interntional conference and 1 International conference.

Department laboratories

Object Oriened Programming Lab:

 This lab is designed to provide programming in object oriented concepts by using algorithmic implementation. It stresses the strengths of C, which provide students with the means of writing efficient, maintainable and portable code.

Database Management Lab:

This lab offers two segments which enable students to acquire skills to manage and manipulate data. It covers all the basics of query processing techniques and the advanced operations like triggering an event and using developing the front end.

Networking Lab:

 The Network Lab will enhance database handling, data manipulation and data processing skills, which will help them in developing data centric computer applications. Programs are also to be  conducted in linux environment. These lab experiments are designed to make the different software components or applications to connect with each other.  

 

Computer Programming Lab:

 This Lab mainly focuses on the First year students to offer them programs expertise in 'C' languages and data structures. A comprehensive introduction of C language is offered through this lab to enable the students to write diversified programs using this language. This lab also makes student learn how to make a programming language applied for Data Structures. We also teach the student to write programs on data structures using C.

 PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

“PEOs are broad statements that describe the career and professional accomplishments that the program is preparing graduates to achieve”.

PEO 1:

Graduates with a strong foundation in the field of Basic Sciences, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering and ability to provide solutions for real time industrial problems.

PEO 2:

Graduates with ability to apply technical knowledge and take on higher responsibilities in industry, academics and diverse fields of Electrical Engineering.

PEO 3:

Graduates with ability to operate generating stations, transformers, electrical machines, transmission lines and switch gear in an appropriate manner to improve efficiency & economics.

PEO 4:

Graduates with profession attitude, communication, technical and leadership skills to become successful engineers.

The following are the Program Outcomes of Engineering Graduates:

PO1: Engineering knowledge : Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO2: Problem analysis : Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3: Design/development of solutions : Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems : Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5: Modern tool usage : Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
